The company from Valencia DAS Photonics participates in the conduct of the world’s largest telescope, called ALMA (Atacama Large Millimeter/Submillimiter Array). The technology developed by DAS will distribute between the antennas a reference signal very stable at high frequencies in the millimetre band calls.

Moreover, this spin-off from the Centro  de Tecnología Nanofotónica de la Universidad Politécnica de Valencia will also incorporate a system of connections optoelectronic in Alphasat telecommunications satellite that the European Space Agency (ESA) launched in 2012. The objective is to verify that the system maintains performance and reliability demonstrated in ground tests.
